Ford Motor Company Fund Announces Eric Davis as New Director of Social Mobility

Davis will lead the philanthropic arm's global investments in essential services.

DEARBORN, Jan 23, 2023 - Ford Motor Company Fund today announced Eric Davis will join the automaker's global philanthropic arm as Director of Social Mobility. Davis will lead partnerships and programs that connect people to essential services and care in low-access communities globally.

"Eric is a renowned leader who has been a driving force behind significant advances in access to education, healthcare and food – all of which are key impact areas for Ford Fund, said Mary Culler, president of Fod Motor Company Fund. "His expertise and commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities will be invaluable to the organization as we continue to grow our impact around the world. We are thrilled Eric chose to join us on this journey."

 

Prior to joining Ford Fund, Davis served as United Way of Southeastern Michigan's Vice President of Community Impact. He joined United Way in 2011 and led the organization's community impact work with a focus on food, social and economic mobility, and policy and community engagement.

 

Davis is also the immediate past board Chair of the regional Emergency Food and Shelther Program and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Michigan 2-1-1 Board of Directors. He is a current board member of both the Detroit Community Health Improvement Plan Steering Committee, and the Michigan Association of United Way's and Gleaners Community Food Bank and participates as a member of the Detroit Regional Chambers Healthcare Council.

Davis also has more than 15 years of experience working in state government where he held a variety of public policy and legislative roles, including serving as Governor Jennifer Granholm's Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs where he worked to advance policy initiatives on a wide range of issues including education, energy, and regulatory reform.
