Ford Donation Gives DAV More Mobility to Help Disabled Veterans
The DAV Transportation Network receives eight new vehicle from Ford for their network
ORLANDO, Fla. — The DAV Transportation Network is expanding by another eight vehicles, as Ford donates new Flex utility vehicles to help veterans get to their doctor appointments and hospital visits. Ford has donated 231 vehicles to DAV since 1996, continuing a relationship started by Henry Ford nearly 100 years ago. In 2018, donated Ford vehicles provided rides for more than 615,000 military veterans. The vehicles will be distributed to eight chapters in Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Ford also continues to support the DAV's Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program and National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic.
